Mr. Marion Porter, Executive Vice President and COO

Mr. Marion Porter, Executive Vice President and COO, is a former U.S. Navy Corpsman who later trained and worked for more than 15 years as a Physician's Assistant. Building upon his hands-on experience as a healthcare clinician and manager, Mr. Porter has distinguished himself over time as an executive-level consultant and business analyst specializing in the design, development, and implementation of aligned business-IT solution architectures and topologies.

Before joining IWA in October 2004, Mr. Porter held a number of senior management positions spanning operations, relationship management, and business and technology consulting.

He was acknowledged at the 2nd Annual Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Information Network (PHIN) Conference, held May 2004, for his work in support of the development of the functional data architecture design for the District of Columbia's Washington Automated Disease Surveillance System (WADSS), a pilot disease surveillance and bioterrorism threat recognition solution. His contributions were further substantiated through the recognition of WADSS by the California Healthcare Foundation (CHF) as an example of innovation in clinical data standards.

Mr. Porter has overall responsibility for corporate operations as well as the delivery of technology-enabled solutions, and continues to be directly engaged as a Program Executive and senior-level consultant.
