Project Managers

IWA has immediate openings for Project Manager (PM) candidates in Falls Church, Virginia. The selected PMs will be responsible for providing program support services to the Air Force Medical Service’s (AFMS) Chief Information Office (CIO) to include but not necessarily be limited to assistance with the planning and management of the CIO activities and programs.

Candidate(s) will adhere to established Project Management Institute (PMI) principles and have deep familiarity with the methods, processes and tools required to achieve and sustain cost, schedule and performance efficiencies while providing comprehensive project direction to ensure customer satisfaction and overall success of the project. Project management activities may include:

Project planning, milestone scheduling and operational coordination
Project Site Support Agreement development and approval
Environmental Specifications provided to Military Treatment Facilities
Equipment delivery and inventory coordination
Change management
Network integration services
Acquisition support for any necessary ordering and installation of equipment, software design and implementation, and related field activities
Coordination with vendors involved in project

Qualifications

Demonstrated background and experience in IM/IT project management.
Working knowledge of PMI principles and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Military Health System experience (desired).

Employment is contingent upon possession of an active Department of Defense (DOD) Security Level Clearance or the ability to undergo and successfully pass a security clearance investigation to obtain at a minimum a Secret Level Clearance from DOD.
